Pure Ice Spit Fire: gorgeous pink holo glitter polish, $1.97!

Three coats, no undies.

My Walmart has installed lights above each shelf of nail polish. They did this for people like me. I'm attracted to shiny objects. This weekend I was walking down the nail polish aisle, as per my habit, and saw this beauty glistening in the lights. Pure Ice's Spit Fire blew me away. So sparkly, so girly! So cheap! For $1.97, I couldn't pass it up. And I love it. It's really hard to capture it's beauty in photos. It is a light pink transparent base loaded with holographic glitters. The glitters glow back green, purple, orange, blue, pink, all on the nail. I keep staring at my nails.

While I've only had this on my nails since last night, I know and trust Pure Ice's polishes. They are long lasting, very impressive for their price point. I can't wait to go back and get more like this. I remember seeing a teal/turquoise, a blue and a purple!

Spellbound Nails: Glow-in-the-Dark Holo Indie Nail Polish!

My daughter asked for this amazing nail polish for her 11th birthday, and I was happy to oblige. She was kind enough to let me play with it, I mean, swatch it.

My daughter picked out the Drunken Leprechaun Duo, a lighter sage green (named Lucky Charm) and a darker forest green (named Magically Delicious). I love that this polish is not only a beautiful holographic polish, but it glows in the dark, one of the reasons I think my daughter really wanted this.

The mini polishes came in pink netting bags.

I've read that holo polishes can be thin, but these were actually a tad thick, especially the darker one. A drop of thinner and these will be a perfect consistency for me. They dry slightly matte with a light sandy feel, both of which can be taken care of with a top coat. Or leave it that way like I did.

Two coats, in direct sunlight

The lighter green glows brighter.

Indoor closeup, Please ignore the smudge, :)

I remember reading on the Spellbound site that she only ships on Saturdays, but I can't seem to find that now. Maybe I'm making that up....

Anyway, We were really happy with the whole ordering experience and with the nail polish. Check out Spellbound nails for some unique, beautiful polishes.

Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Color Summer Colors

Left to Right: Tropicalia, Bite the Bullet, I Need a Refresh-Mint, On a Trip

You can't beat Wet N Wild for some cheap nail color. Although these polishes retail for $1.99, I usually get these at CVS with coupons for $.99 or less. See here for recent bargain details. (Wet N Wild also has a cheaper nail polish that retails for $.99.)

I really like the flat brush these polishes feature. It make application a breeze.

The formula on these polishes isn't the best in the word, but they aren't bad. They are a little streaky, but three coats will get you full coverage. They don't seem to chip too terribly badly.

Here are the colors that I have:

I Need a Refresh-Mint is a gorgeous turquoise.
Tropicalia is a neon coral. (Like most neons it's a bit streaky.)
On a Trip is a grape-like purple.
Bite the Bullet is my absolute favorite. It's an amazing pink-purple.

I can't wait for more Wet n Wild coupons to come out so I can try more colors! (Note: They are released about once a month in Red Plum newspaper inserts.)
